People from all over the world come to Chicago and sample our famous culinary scene, and especially our deep-dish pizza. But there’s so much more to Chicago pizza than that. The city is home to so many regional varieties on display that local food reporter Steve Dolinsky has given Chicago the nickname of “Pizza City USA.”
On this adventure, you’ll visit six establishments that serve six different styles of pizza. To get to each stop, you’ll take the CTA’s Brown Line, starting in the Loop and continuing to take the Kimball route all the way to the Lincoln Square neighborhood. All the restaurants are within a few blocks of the station. Along the way, post photos of your pizzas on social media and tag the restaurants and us at @playeatlas and @daveeatsschicago.
We realize that it may be asking too much to take this tour all in one day, especially since four of the restaurants do not serve slices. Feel free to stop when you're full and you’ll be able to resume where you left off in the eATLAS app when you’re ready to continue.
