I used this technique while I taught a GIS short course for conservation at the Duke Farm campus. Duke Farms is a living lab located on 2,700 acres in Hillsborough, NJ. A center for conservation science, visitors are immersed in a variety of nature experiences from birding to outdoor classes to field journaling. Check the hours before you go. Trails are generally open Tuesday–Saturday | 8:30 AM–4:30 PM and vary by season.
