﻿﻿Meet your guide outside The Alibi Room, under the neon Hummingbird - 85 Pike St #410, Seattle.

﻿﻿There will be a fun icebreaker to get acquainted. You'll stroll through Pike Place Market with multiple stops that highlight stories of the people behind the market and hear tales and discover places that include the first mortuary west of the Mississippi and a former brothel.

Established in 1907 to provide direct farmer-to-consumer sales, Pike Place Market is Seattle’s historic and iconic public market. Offering fresh produce, artisanal crafts, diverse food stalls, flower vendors, and unique shops, the Market remains a popular destination for locals and tourists alike. Alibi Room

This Post Alley theater began its life as a horse stable for Pike Place Market farmers in the early 1900’s. During Prohibition, it was rumored to house a hidden speakeasy. It wasn’t until the early 1970s when it first became a theater. Newly graduated University of Washington acting students (including actor John Aylward) made it home to their Empty Space Theater. In 1977, the space was turned into a movie theater, with old theater seats and carpeting from the original lobby of the Radio City Music Hall. It closed in 1989, but re-opened two years later as the mainstage for Unexpected Productions, Seattle’s longest-running improv theater. 🎭

Match.com partnered with eATLAS to create a new event that is part tour and part scavenger hunt. At this event, you'll be quartered into teams to compete and complete an app-guided tour/scavenger hunt through the Fremont neighborhood. On this excursion, you'll learn about several unique art installations and their fascinating backgrounds that’ll be sure to spark conversation. It'll be your job to find these symbols while learning about Seattle’s history and design.

To help all that history and culture go down a little easier, we'll be stopping at a few of our favorite local bars featuring boozy beverages with fascinating backgrounds and some with a little science behind their construction. We'll nerd out on ingredients, Prohibition history, space, and maybe even a little nature, and we'll have a chance to share with each other our own geeky interests to break the ice!

We've partnered with eATLAS to create a new event that is part tour and part scavenger hunt. At this event, you'll be quartered into teams to compete and complete an app-guided tour/scavenger hunt through the Fremont neighborhood. On this excursion, you'll learn about several unique art installations and their fascinating backgrounds that’ll be sure to spark conversation. It'll be your job to collaborate with your team to find these symbols while learning about Seattle’s history and design. By the end, you’ll no longer be strangers to each other and can head out to explore more of the neighborhood or grab a drink at a local bar / restaurant nearby.

Meet at the Fremont Solstice Mural (outside, in front of the mural) at 3401 Phinney Ave N, Seattle, WA 98103, where it will be your first mission to find the event facilitator, Seattle tour guide and creator, Lee Dunlap. This is where you'll be assigned a team.
