The show follows young chef Carmy as he must manage The Beef, a sandwich shop in Chicago, which is the actual home of the famous Mr. Beef on Orleans. Carmy's chef team of Sydney, Tina, and Marcus, along with manager Richie, struggle to make The Beef, and later The Bear restaurants succeed. In season two, chef Sydney embarks on a journey across Chicagoland to visit the best restaurants and gain inspiration for her "Chaos Menu", which will combine dishes, flavors, and foods from around the globe.
