Women in Chicago

Together we will discover some history, some artists, some food and a few of the neighborhoods that make up Chicago. These points of interest are not an easy route to follow, so choose what works for the time you have. Some are in the Loop area, some are walkable from the Loop, some are accessible by public transportation, and others you may need to go by car. This is not an exhaustive list of women by any means. It covers a sampling of important women from the early times before this area became a city to the present day. Inventors, artists, chefs, architects, sometimes the creator, sometimes the muse, some are famous, some are not. But all are worthy of knowing. These points of interest make a great reason to get out and visit different neighborhoods.
